Minimalist Mediterranean
(giclée print: 18” x 24”. $400)
Mimi Seton (“Seton") had a long career in Theatre and Music in the USA and Europe.
She began as an actress-singer and moved into writing, composing, and directing for stage and voice recordings.
Her love of travel combined with a mystical bent took her to Europe where she lived for over 20 years in four different countries, teaching performance and writing in fine universities, colleges, artists’ unions, professional drama schools, prisons and community centers. She teaches because she loves learning.
In 2013, she was in a car crash where she was injured with serious concussions that left her with a condition that makes sound and noise painful. This makes working with Music - her greatest love - impossible.
She is now in the process of turning that personal tragedy into a new life as a visual artist and currently works with photography, drawing, doodling, painting, cartooning and mixed media, sometimes addressing women’s issues, and sometimes making abstract or Minimalist pieces such as the works on this site.
Her art has been seen in galleries in California, Italy, and England as well as online art shows.
She now has illustrations in eight books, most recently DANCING WITH SNAKE by Karen Ingenthron Lewis about her recovery from the searing grief of losing her beloved husband, actor Al Lewis.
